Hello,

I just had my 8 rebuilt. I installed AEM CAI and mishimoto radiator too. My car is a 2004 4AT so i had to fit in an extra ATF cooler for the radiator as the mishimoto radiator is for MT.

I am going through the break in period and facing some problems.

If i am gaining gradually the car is fine and shifts a tad bit late but almost unnoticable, But if i floor it, the rpm rises quick but holds at 7k or more for a while . The sound of the CAI is so overbearing at that point that i let go and then push the excilaration again for the car to shift. The car runs fine on shifters.

Any idea/suggestions what the problem might be ?

 

Your saying you cant shift at 7k rpms? or wont shift at 7k rpms due to the sound of the intake?

 

make sure the screens inside of your intake are straight.

If one of them is sideways inside of the intake tube this could be the problem?

Can you shift with the paddles?

oh wait... I assume "the car runs fine on shifters" means you can paddle it?

 

yah .. the carz fine on paddles .... something to do with the ecu ?
