View Full Version : Ghostland Observatory?
hoss -05 09-16-2009, 09:22 PM Is anyone else into these guys? I say am posting in the section cuz they are a "big" local Tejas band.
I have seen them twice and really look fwd: to seeing them more. Just wondering if anyone else is into them?
The band is a Austen based band that plays electric funk in lew of Daft Punk.
I would describe them as Freddy Mercury meets techno for lack of a better description.
Your thoughts?
9krpmrx8 09-16-2009, 09:26 PM Never heard of them. Do they sing snoop dogg covers?
yeah...they do snoop dogg, yanni, bon jovi and zamfir covers. j/k...obviously.

hoss -05 09-16-2009, 09:38 PM Eah its kinda counter culture a bit. Like I wish to take a bunch of drugs and go see them as i know it would expand the experience ten fold. alternative substances are just not my thing. They are playing at ACL this year anyone going?

tiltmode43 09-17-2009, 02:31 PM I don't recall, I wanted to see them pretty bad last time but things came up. I tend to be a show whore so I'm sure I'll see them :) I'm jealous you got to go man!
hoss -05 09-17-2009, 02:36 PM I have seen them a few times! Once with NIN.
tiltmode43 09-17-2009, 02:38 PM WAHHHH!??
I didn't even know ghostland opened for them! NIN has been an all time favorite of mine, Trent just finished up the last shows too. I've seen them a few times, once in the pit, made it to front and center at the rail at a sold out show. Pure awesomeness. I almost flew to Hawaii just to see Ladytron open for them, I kind of wish I would have :(
hoss -05 09-17-2009, 02:41 PM Yeah man that would have been a killer show. I also have seen NIN more then a few times. Yeah man froking ghostland opend for nin it was Great! It was funny how many people came to the show for Ghostland and not nin. Over all Visually it was hands down the best show I have seen in my life!
tiltmode43 09-17-2009, 02:53 PM Which NIN was it? I'm guessing lights in the sky?

You can see me in this one, front and center, actually offset a tad bit to the right. Such a blast. Ugh now I want to spend money on some shows I miss it!
