Take a deep breathe and try to write coherently so we can understand...

Give some examples of your search terms so 'we' can try them...

I KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT. when you click the links the search turned up it takes you to another search engine with more or the same links instead of what the links should take you too. it has happened to some comps here at my work. you've got some kind of spyware on your comp that is misdirecting you to the other search engine(s). here is what you want to do-

down load this free software called ad-aware. and then run the program. it will scour your pc for any and all spyware and then remove it. once that is done your searches should be headache free. http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

ad aware won't do everything, download spybot and then check for updates, check for problems, and then fix problems, then immunize, you have what they call a hijacker, it's spyware that redirects your urls, here is the link for spybot.

There's another possibility of what's happening. the pages you are trying to visit are no longer valid, and lots of times invalid URL requests are redirected by the host server to a search page. This isn't spyware resident on your computer, it has to do with the Internet directory services and how they handle invalid requests. But all that aside, I would still get adaware. There's a free version and a more capable paid version. Everytime I run the free version I find more crap that installed itself on my machine; adaware roots it out.

Yeah, my system was doing that some time ago. There is some bug, virus or whatever that modified the registry to redirect from various search engines such as Google to some weird one, no matter what you did. There was a fix, basically removing or modifying various keys in the Windows Registry. I don't know if the AdAware and other such cleaning applets will do that or not. I'll try to find the info I had that fixed my system.

I gave some pretty detailed tips on computer security and care a few months ago, that still apply. Find it here:
