So, how long do you think it will take one of these guys to "take it to the next level" and try to land without using a parachute?

Pfft, who needs a wing suit? How about a Jet Pack! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwEMbjnKeBs)

Seriously, after Yves Rossy wing suits became a lot less interesting. I mean, he's working on crossing the English Channel and he was able to gain altitude in that first demo flight he did for journalists.

I don't know if it was him, but someone did fly across the Channel in a jet suit. I saw it live on TV.

I was trying to find this one as I had seen it before but could not find it to post. It has to be one of the best. Thank you.

Ha, yup! I hadn't checked up on him in a while, it was Yves Rossy though: http://travel.latimes.com/daily-deal-blog/index.php/rocketman-yves-rossy-2871/

The guy who invented the suit died while wearing one.
The vortex of air behind your body will not allow the drogue chute to catch air and pull the main out.

On a long jump. no big deal, but the BASE jumpers are bouncing left and right
