Hey guys... I have a 04 Silver Rx8 and im soon thinking about getting
eyelids
and strakes..

Though im not sure if i want silver eyelids and silver strakes
or Carbon fiber Eyelids and Carbon Fiber strakes...
here are some pics of my car... take a look..
Just need a few ideas.











Hopefully that should give you guys an idea of what it looks like so lemme know what you guys think... bc im confused and don't want to spend money and regret it..

 

silver eyelids, forget about the strakes and save that money for some rims

 

I think you should get silver eyelids... I personally think it looks odd to have different color eyelids. But maybe black strakes? match your tail-lights and give some contrast.

Silver eyelids, NO STRAKES! And pull the MazdaSpeed decal off the Bpillar. Its totally out of place and pulls attention to just it instead of flowing with the car. That red stands out like a sore thumb.

Dozer, you dont have a REd LIP you have a RED PIN STRIPE...ROTA TIME ATTACKs.... If you have an entire red lip, its not TIME ATTACK anymore...Time Attacks dont have lips...

 

I put the red on there so it would stick out..

to the OP, stick with silver wheels, or gunmetal, or silver w/polished lip.... dont do black unless they are RPF1's

The red definitely sticks out. To me it sticks out too much and most of the viewers attention is drawn to that and ONLY that instead of the total effect of everything you've done to the car. Overall the car looks really sharp, but personally that sticker right there seems cheesy when you look at everything else with the car. The Rx8 doesn't need help standing out or drawing attention.

If you have a red lip rim, that might change it as you have more contrast on other parts of the car, so the overall idea flows better. So then the red MS sticker would match better.

 

Save your money for some rims and springs.

Pickup some used MT RX8 rims dude.

Those 16/17s isnt doing the car no justice!!!

 

I say, forget the strakes and eyelids, sell the car and buy a 6MT.

 

if you arent a hater of strakes, go w/ some black ones. definately some black enkeis, take that MS pillar decal OFF, and then black out the emblems. a little 1.2 lowering would look sick too.

LOL just kidding. If I were you, I wouldn't get the black/red wheels. I think its just too much. Black wheels with a chrome lip look good on that color, but IMO 3 colors on a car is too much. I would get gunmetal probably, but black looks great too.

 

You gotta own an RX8 before you say that, Camryboy!

I hate eyelids, it makes the RX8 look lazy. Strakes are nice though. But before you do anything, drop it.
