The car currently put down 270whp and 250ft. lbs. at 12psi of boost. runs GREAT! The car is in great shape for an older car, but has a small dent in the front fender that im going to have pulled out (if the dent doc calls me back lol) there is also a small skuff on the headlight. other then those two small cosmetic defects the car is pristine. no rust, stored winters. has pretty much every brace possible installed on it, and is very very fast.

i think we're all busy picking our jaws up off the floor.

i've got a nice 8 for sale that i still owe a lil bit on, but i can't justify $14,000 for another car. i was trying to go cheaper this time around...

i have been looking a lot at (stock) NB's. any advice? i'm probably going to make it into a conservative autocross car.

I understand the $14k price can be a bit of a shocker, and with the current state of...well...things i understand not many people have that just sitting around with nothing better to spend it on.

as to a stock NB, GO FOR IT! the 1.8L engine was a huge improvement over the 1.6L NA engines and have none of the crank walk issues. There is a huge amount of aftermarket for it as well as support. They are amazing autox cars and great for HPDE. if going to autox though, keep mods in mind that will hold you in a class, going into SSM is very competitive and without a turbo and large sticky wheels you will most certainly lose. haha

i think i'm going to buy a 99 or a 00 off of carmax with no more than 60k. usually those run around $11,000 on there and i think that's reasonable.

are those rollbars just for safety or do they also help with structural integrity?

little bit of both. if youre going to race it i would highly recommend getting it. its a few hundred $$ and itll protect you from a lot of hospital time or death in any accident
