That is a good question...I don't have an engine cover so I am not sure. But I believe it should be no problem to use the cover with this since its all the way on the left side of the engine bay.

nice... have you attempted to adjust it at all to make it stiffer or softer. I just have mine at full stiff and it seems to make everything feel nice and solid.

Right now I have it adjusted to 13mm, this weekend I'm going to make it a bit tighter when I go for a mountain cruise. I like the sound it puts into the chassis, makes me feel like I'm in a fully stripped race car.

The noise is just harmonics form the engine transfering into the cabin through the firewall....its pretty cool...not annoying!!!

I haven't really noticed any comfort issues. The engine feels nice and planted and if anythign there will be more humming noises inside the cabin.

Just installed in my '09 GT! It's a little trickier to install then the instructions (written for s1 i assume!) but it fits just fine. Little more engine noise into the cabin, but not annoying, plus it looks pretty trick. Engine cover went back in like stock, too. It's still too icy out for a road test but i'll be sure to let ya'll know how that goes.

the inside have more rattle noise but at stop light the shifter shake a lot less. The throttle respond is great, even shifting feel better because it eliminate the twist of the engine and tranny.

Does the factory black piece remain under this piece? Or do the studs from the top of the shock towers go straight through this piece. I don't have the factory bar and my bar required me to remove the factory bar and the piece that attaches to the shock top mount that the factory bar mounts too.

It would go underneath that bracket with the three 14mm nuts. I have the greddy bar so I don't have that anymore, but you just put it under the bar mount.

you may need motormounts first....but the ingalls will stiffen it up nicely.

yeah we forgot to mention it adds 100 wheel tq instantly!!!:ylsuper: so it brakes clutches!!!

I have it adjusted pretty close to max.. enough for the humming in the cabin.. i wnt be able to notice the diffrence now because im driving it with the slipping clutch..and when i instal my ACT setup on friday it will be too long from the point of instaling the damper to tell the diffrence

No, It doesnt. I have gt spec 6 point, and the gt strut bracket is too big to use the Ingalls bracket..you would have to bend the Ingall bracket outward to make it work. I'm installing it right now, so I know. I'm going to attach the ETD directly to gt spec bracket and strut bar assembly.

Edit: Here are the pics...I actually like this setup better..the GT Spec brace is way more quality than the Ingalls bracket, and I think it looks good too. I had to JUST BARELY increase the length of the ETD to make it work. Was nearly a flawless fit from where the hole was on the Ingalls bracket to the GT strut hole. I have more rotary goodness sound inside the cabin now, and at 7-9k a strong chassis vibration. After a redline, you can really hear the engine "reel" I guess Ill call it, its a very cool sound and very "raw". As for performance..cant say I feel much, my car was pretty tight as is, but Im sure the ETD is doing its job. Preload is set at 11mm.

Well yes...but with less results than a MT. But you will still get a nice rotary hum in the cabin ;)
