Question the mighty OIL-P gauge

Hi!

I've searched for this, but I haven't found anything related to this. (I might be just blind...)

So my problem is: I noticed that the Oil-P gauge needs different times times to go on "its place" on every start. Sometimes it happens instantly when the engine started, sometimes it needs 2-3 secs to move. I know it is an idiot gauge and shows nothing, but this gap between the times is normal?
I own the car since 1.5 years, but I haven't noticed this. I'm not sure if it did the same in the last 18 months. It might... I don't know...

The car doesn't have any other problems. I starts extremely easy (there are only 4000km in the new engine), and everything else is OK. (power, idle, sound)

Thanks for the ideas and answers in advance!

Mine has never worked well. It's jittery and reads as OFF more than half the time.

I just ignore it and plan on getting a real oil pressure gauge.

You can ignore slight variances with that gauge. I have a real OP gauge in my 8 and what the OEM one reads doesn't mean anything unless its all the way over to one side.
