Hello,

I am so broke that I started looking at used tires and found the following
(2) 235/40/18 and (2) 225/40/18

I think there are no issues with the rears being 235/40 but what about the 225/40 for the front? Would the lower aspect ratio cause some issues?
Please do let me know before I go bying these and make a mistake.
Thanks a lot for quick assistance.

That will be fine. I ran 225/40's all around and had no problem.

If you have DSC there might be some weirdness with the two sizes front/back. I'm not sure though.

If your buying used tires can't you just keep your current ones?

Thank you for the information.
I have a sport model so I am good (no DSC)
I cannot keep mine because they are way and I mean way beyond dead and 1 of them has a nail in it. I just want tires to keep me going until snow shows up, at which time I will get winter tires monuted on the stock rims and buy some nice rims and tires in 2010.
Again, I appreciate the quick replies.

If you have the sport pkg you have DSC.

Oh man,

How can I tell if I have it? Is there a light or a button? I have spun the rears (hence the bald tires) and never had anything come on. My car is a base model 6 speed so I think that is what they call a sport model. I guess I should look in the manual....Thanks,

i dont think you have it, there should be a button on the left side of the wheel, right next to the little change holder...

Sigfrid - you are correct, you do not have DSC.

You're all set sigfrid. You could actually go to 245x40 all around on the stock 18x8 rims with no issues, so 225x40 F and 235x40 R are AOK.
