I saw the other thread with a few comments about people going this weekend. I am heading up there tomorrow (after the rain) and camping out Saturday Night.

Yes, I am al oser and have my RX-8 packed full of my gear to camp alone....including my 7 person mansion...I mean tent.

So, who is camping over? I saw someone mention they are. Let's have a RX-8 campout, lol.

I'm coming Hoser... I bring sleeping bag. what else?

We need to meet in the morning to cruise.

I know this might be late. I'm going to bed now. I will wake up at 6am to check on this forum...

We met Footman before jumping all over turn 2 and turn 8...great fun!

I saw a whole bunch of RX-8s parked in the lower paddock, didn't realize there was a meet.

it was not a meet...but a photo op lol

Sorry, I missed all you guys, we camped up by the fence of turn 8-and 9 above the tunnel, great spot just our group. Busy spot ...lots of spin-outs, contact with tire walls on Saturday. Saw Rotary Mike, footman, and the Scarboro Mazda bunch in the pick-up truck going up to the Corvette Corral from my high vantage point! Great races, too bad the Mazda teams did not do better.


I was up here! Most people see the tree line and think you can't get up there. There's small road cut into the trees, real nasty big rocks etc. Maybe fifty people up here along the fence for the last race a lot less on Saturday!

My legs are so tired from essentially "hiking" 5km of hilly terrain over the span of two days all around the track. My face is completely "raccooned" with a deep outline of my sunglasses contrasting my burnt face. Believe it guys, you don't need direct sunlight to be burned. Both days were essentially cloudy, but UVA rays go right through clouds. Despite all of this, I had an amazing time watching my first ALMS race live.

Rxeckless, I saw your car parked on the banked grass at turn 8/9, but that wasn't until the last 30 minutes on Sunday before I left :(

I saw the Scarboro Mazda truck cruise past but I was on the roof!!! Ha ha

I was all over the place as well. WE lost Andrew at one point and never saw him again. Good thing he survived, lol.

ALMS Invades Mosport



The 8th Stop for the American Le Mans Series

The American Le Mans Series race took place at Mosport this past weekend. Despite the less then favourable weather conditions, fans turned out by the thousands.

Torrential rains Saturday, blistering winds Sunday and cool temperatures all weekend kept things interesting for the race teams. More then a few teams left the weekend with bent race cars.


In the end, the weekend belonged to the Acura and Corvette teams. Despite strong competition from the Dyson Mazda’s in both P2 and for the overall lead, Acura was able to win both the P1 and P2 class races.

The Corvette team was in only their 3rd race since joining the GT2 class of competition. Even against strong competition from the Ferraris, Vipers, Ford GTs, Panoz’s, Porsches, BMW M3s and others, Corvette was still able to pull of the victory.
