Nope, on 12/28/ I drove ~ 130mph on Hiway 58 towards Vegas as a cop was coming the opposite direction and I slowed quickly down to 90 but he definitely could've clocked me at 120+. There were a few places where he could've made a U-turn.

*Seems* that he did not.

I took the next exit (Barstow) and waited a little, getting gas and food.

Got pulled over, cuffed, and taken to the county jail for doing 104 in a 70 (was doing 120, but slowed down during the open parts of the freeway) in Mississippi. Luckily I got off with just a speeding ticket.

I got pulled over about a mile after merging from the 163 south to the 8 west here in San Diego. I was probably going about 85 - this was about a week after I got the '8. The cop let me off with a "it would be a shame to get a ticket in your nice new car - take it easy in the future" warning... I think partly because I didn't give any attitude and partly just lucky...

For you youngsters out there, I can speak with experience that it NEVER is a good idea to give ANY attitude to a police officer EVER.
YOU WILL NEVER WIN. HE IS THE BOSS. Be polite at all times, show the utmost respect, and do exactly as he/she says. It may not save you a ticket, but it could save your life.

In Houston, two teens were recently killed by police officers during seperate incidents/arrests where they failed to follow instructions. In Houston, grand juries almost never indict officers for these cases, not that it matters to you once you are dead.

It's hard to do when you are 17 and full of hormones and invincible, but you must make every effort to be polite and cooperative.
