alright as i said in my previous post, The CPU connected to my 8 showed nothing wrong with my 8. I want to learn a few things just to be sure and take more care of my 8. Ive seen many threads about Coils Failing. What coils? From my knowledge i know there are many coils in a car so i need a little enlightenment. Second, How exactly does a catalyctic converter work and how can i check if i should get a new one+what will be the results. Third I get a 1-3second ignition start sometimes even a bit longer not sure why, i thought this could be fixed by just gettin some new NGK Sparks. Same thing with with Shocks and alternator, How do i make sure if any need replacing.

WOW, not being negative...but you need to learn how to use the SEARCH function.

The coils are the ingition coils. There are 4 coils. Open your hood and take off your engine cover. Right under the intake tube and throttle body you will see your igntion coils ( spark plug wires are attached to the coils). The coils are known to fail. How many miles are on your car. What year is your car?

you can tell if your CAT is bad if you experience a loss of power, you can also tell if its bad if you look under your car and its glowing after a cruise/run

so do any of these sound like coil faillure: idle about 900 then raises to 1000 or so and drops to about 850-900 again and car vibrates and then stays at about 900-950, highway run 65mph stopping into a turn rpm goes under 1000 and car shuts off. in the process of trying to get to town 1st and 2nd gear dont pick up as well. Once messin with my battery 1st and 2nd work just fine but idle still lays there. and 2004 bought it with about 38-39k and i have it up to 41k

The glowing cat rarely happens, the best way to find out is to look inside.
