View Full Version : WTB: MS Intake and Exhaust
Darklight9 08-25-2009, 01:31 PM Im looking for a cheap used MS Intake and Exhaust.
If you have a red AEM Intake i dont mind purchasing that if its at a good price.
Im also looking at the RB Intake, probably cant afford it, but if you have a good price for it im intrested in that too.
Im located in Markham, Ontario.
TheWulf 08-25-2009, 01:52 PM I've been looking for the MS exhaust for a while... they are a rare breed used,
hackdss 08-25-2009, 02:14 PM I got lucky finding my used
Darklight9 08-25-2009, 06:39 PM Did you find yours used in Toronto?
hackdss 08-25-2009, 07:47 PM Well Kitchener rpm sold it to me
Thumper3322 08-26-2009, 11:10 AM Dude go PRM and shoot fire ;) and don't worry about rain/winter/car washes etc.
Darklight9 08-26-2009, 03:16 PM I read your review on the PRM Thumper, its sad how many people get all defensive and flame. Im going to have to turn down the idea of the PRM however, since I would rather get the MS Intake or get the RB Duct with K&N, just that the stupid K&N is 79.99 at Canadian Tire... (missed the 40 dollar one that was for sale :( ) and I highly doubt the RB duct would be sold used. Btw, what did you do with your MS Intake that you took off?
Thumper3322 08-27-2009, 09:20 AM Yup ppl don't know till they try....I tried I love. To each his own.
Go to Scarb Mazda talk to Al, they sell the K&N drop in filters for cheaper than Can tire.
I sold it...they go fast fast to US side. Don't have to worry about winters.
2wildbeta86 08-28-2009, 01:14 PM Dude, I have a PRM too!! and that shit is badass!!! but yeah i read ur thread and thought it was real funny how everyone was talkin sh%! about the intake but yet no one has been able to prove how "bad" it really was. i was really lookin forward to the review that charles hill guy was going to write up, but that never happened. but im with u bro the prm intake is a sweet deal!!!
Thief 08-28-2009, 01:52 PM Just remember guys. If you take your car through auto car washes, don't get the MS/AEM CAI. Trying to revive Thumper's car after he did that was such a pain in the ass. :P

Cuz it isn't bad...like you said badass! I swear it has a lot to do with me shooting 10' fire bolts out of my car ass at the track. Just need another one at the track with MS exhaust to see if they are doing the same.

+10000 Hence the change up...thief doesn't want to be there with the boost again wearing his battery out as everyone tries to get your car going
Darklight9 08-31-2009, 02:04 PM Bump!
My friend got his exhaust for his car and I still cant find my MS Exhaust!!
TheWulf 08-31-2009, 02:31 PM I will sell you my ExoticSpeed S1-T if you want it. $400 + ship which is about $50-$75 or pickup in Ottawa.
I know you want the MS but just offering.
Darklight9 08-31-2009, 04:47 PM Does it shoot fire like the MS one?
The Reverend 08-31-2009, 04:50 PM MS Exhaust won't shoot fire unless you go catless.
Too bad I would sell you mine if you lived closer, as I am looking for a different exhaust...
TheWulf 08-31-2009, 04:53 PM Mine does not shoot fire.
I don't think any exhaust should shoot fire unless you remove your cat.
Darklight9 08-31-2009, 05:10 PM The Mazda Speed one shoots fire with the the cat on when the car is running hot, as in when your tracking. My friends with MS Exhaust shoot fire. Anyways, thats not that important i was just wondering. Are there any claimed HP gains on your Exoticspeed?
The Reverend, have you heard of a man named dozer? It seems you may be walking down his alley posting in these Canada threads. lol
Thumper3322 09-01-2009, 08:55 AM Shooting fire - the car doesn't have to be catless, it helps, but not necessary. I am in no way saying the intake is the direct result of our cars shooting fire. All RX8s will shoot fire when they get hot, but I am referring to flames. I have run the track many times this year with other 8s a lot with the MS intake and exhaust. They all shoot small popping flames. I am the only one running PRM intake on the MS exhaust with a cat, and I have been told many times over I get big big flames.
With that being said (not that it's important, just kinda cool), all intakes/exhaust produce very very little HP, better throttle response and different noise and that's about it on the 8.

No claims from ExoticSpeed, but I put down 192 RWHP with just this exhaust and an AP pulley on a Mustang dyno which is notorious for low scores. Also see this comment from the thread where I was trying to sell my car :P (http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=178212#post3123774)
Footman 07-02-2010, 10:24 PM I'll sell you mine if you're interested.. PM me for details. It's the Mazdaspeed one though, not the AEM CAI.
