Asuka Design carbonfiber hood

I don't post much on this forum, im more on rx7club.com.
But i just wanted to post pics of my new hood made by asuka design.
This was the first piece they made so i got to be the 1st to test fit it.
Fitment is really good and i thought that the oem hood was light but after picking up the carbon fiber one i was surprise that it was as light or maybe even lighter than oem hood.

Here are some pics.

I know they're made by Rays Engineering, I'm just surprised at how it's almost flush with the rear fenders.

any vent on the hood?
Because water might sit and dry in there and will cause damage to the finished.

Just my $0.02

My personal taste has always preferred odd numbered louvers, 3 or 5, 4 just doesnt look right IMO...

Me too, what is it about odd number that just looks better... wheel spokes too. Anyway, besides the fact that there is one too many vents, I think this is a really good looking hood. The Varis has always been my favorite, but I've always wished it didn't bulge up around the vents... like this one. Now, if they would just get rid of that first vent it would be perfect!

hm.. the location of the vents are similar, but you're right, the vents are beefier on the ts.

Those are my favorite rims too but to bad i have to get different rims bc the bolt pattern aren't the same.

But back to the hood im going to get pics of the back side and weigh it tomorrow when i take it off to cut the vents.

The rims were made for a S2000 so i had to use 1/4 inch spacer bc the circle part doesn't fit in to the rx7 part but i messed up the pattern is the same but it doesn't fit with out the spacers. the rear is 11 inch wide but i could go 12 inches to fit some wider tires front and back.
