Just want to do some ranting and get things out of my chest :0

Where should I start? Well, my car has been sitting in the garage since May for a DIY turbo homemade kit and my welder broke so I decided to pickup Miller Diversion 165 AD/DC TIG and this machine is rock solid. Fabrication continues for me, so I thought. My free time start to get lessor days after days and loosing sleep due to having to work 10+ hrs a day; not complaining since it bring food to the table with this type of economy. It just sad that I can't drive my car :(

Around end of July, I finally have some time to finish up my turbo; with such bad luck the HF starter from the welder stop working, bad pc board according to the tech. So all fabrication stopped for about a week. And Finally pickup again last week and I could see the light but then again, I have a feeling I won't be completing my project until end of this month or early September. And I just find out my turbo oil drain flange I bought didn't fit because it use a different size of screw, not a big deal, but what next?

And yesterday I have to chase down a hit & run driver and call 911 to get the license plate and still need to file a police report. ... such a head ache

Thank you for reading my rant :)

DIY is only satisfying if you actually get it done. Now you know why complete kits sell so well. They save headaches and time!

Sorry about the hit and run, feel better.

It's alive! It's alive!!!

Yeah, It's fun when you have all the tools and things you need, but missing part and thing doesn't go well, it's such a headache. I got an exhaust leak that I need to fix from the improper vclamp install connecting from manifold to the turbo that will require another day of unhooking all the intake pipes to get to it :(

Some more rant about the the hit & run... I decide not to file the report since my car at the time of driving doesn't have any damage except a bit of scratches. The process of filing with the CHP was such a hazzle when I have to come back with the proper paper filled out, etc... such a waste of my time driving to the CHP office having to find out all this paper works and I have to come back another day... :(

Well, I'm going back to enjoy labor day weekend :)

Nice work! Looks like you and I went about it in a pretty similar way. I can fully understand some of the hurdles and headaches you encountered in this project as we both took the same basic route for our piping. We even used the same wastegate. :beerchug:
