What car would you have got if you didnt get the RX-8.
What car would you have got if you didnt get the RX-8.
Now lets be reasonable with the car choices. It needs to be around the same price range. Post which car you would have bought.
Personally if i didnt get the RX-8, I would have got the 350z. But I liked the the way the RX-8 felt, and the fact it has four seats so its cheaper on insurance ha ha.

Wow, my list as well. I also looked at the Audi TT and ... dare I say it ... Crossfire.
The Sky was nice but I'm more a coupe than ragtop guy.
The 350Z wasn't as refined.
The Boxster S and M3 were sweet, but ultimately didn't want to go used at the comparable price point.
The TT was basically a squashed Bug.
The Crossfire was overpriced for its comparable value.
The outstanding handling of the '8, coupled with my longtime desire to try a rotary sealed the deal for me. Oh, and the '05 Shinka paint, etc.
But in 2012 I'll be looking at a [used] 911, unless of course the 'new RX-7' delivers what we all hope it will.

I shopped the 350Z ( seats suck after 5 minutes ), the G35 coupe( closest one I liked ), porsche cayman and a c6 corvette ( $36K! OTD new almost bit, didnt like the interior )
I got the rx8 because I got it for $21900 OTD taxes and all and it was what I went shopping for in the first place.
