Hey all, the last 6-8 weeks I've been having issues with my A/C. It would blow ice cold air but at random times it would turn hot on me and just blow warm air. This started to happen once every 5-10 minutes while driving, I live in Texas so during the summer I've got the A/C going all the time though it's not as bad as Phoenix or Vegas. At the time just a simple toggle of the temperature control knob would get it back to cold almost instantly so after some research on this site I though the temperature knob was going out on me.

Almost 2 weeks ago my battery dies on me and I drop in a new one. Since then not ONCE has my A/C blown warm air at me and I've had it running for at least 30+ minutes straight without issue in the Texas heat. I don't know why this would happen but I'm glad it seems to have just been the battery and not something major with the A/C system.

Its not your battery

your HVAC control is going bad. Soon you will only see "hot" air.

To fix it, you can take it apart and solder it again. or buy a new control which cost couple hundred bux.

I'm still running with a perfectly working A/C. I don't know why it's 100 times better now with the new battery. Before the battery was changed it was a consistent issue when driving, it happened constantly. Now several weeks into my new battery and not one problem.
