My check engine light went on this week, so I had it hooked up to the computer to read the code. It came back with a code:
P2259
secondary air injection system control |B| circuit low.
after I had it hooked up, the engine light went off, i think the guy at the service station cleared it.
How serious is this? any one know what I can expect a repair to cost? and is this an internal failure that might be covered under the 100K mile mazda warranty on the motor?
Thanks.

I had this code prior to my engine getting replaced and I still get it from time to time. Not sure what it is. Could be related to my catless mid pipe but I don't think so.

I was thinking it had to do with the air pump but I think the air pump is only a concern when starting the car. I couldn't find the part in the picture, does that eliminate the air pump? Wonder what the side effects of that are.

actually it could be - my cat is broken on the inside; as soon as I get the money together I'm going to replace it - but i was talking to another guy i know - it could be that its trippin the O2 sensor and thats causing it to throw the code.
thoughts?
