I recently posted a thread requesting nominations for the best threads of 2003. Nominations were in three categories: (1) Most Interesting/Must Read; (2) Best DIY and (3) Funniest. Please kick the tires before voting... all of the threads listed above are clickable.

Gordon's snow threads were the most useful/interesting for me

While the HP deficiency thread was a must-read at the time, and I believe remains the most read thread on this forum, the information contained therein is no longer particularly applicable to new owners.

For me the "Little Things" is the standout thread on a continuing basis, and should be required reading for any new owner.

Re: The Little Things, I've been so pleased on how it stayed on topic and flame-free for like 20-some pages. New items of interest continue to be added. It was stickied for a long time, but fell out. I oughta remain as a sticky or linked to from the FAQs or something.

That thread is what provided all the "rational" thought I needed to convince me to plan on buying an 8.

In fact, when I buy next month, it will be the fastest I've ever gone from "looking" to "buying"--Nov 03 to Feb 04, less than 4 months.

Congrats, Q. Now we need to work on "irrational" thought for all the holdouts. :-)

The only "irrational" thoughts I needed were provided by the first test drive. Zoom, Zoom!
