CyberPitz 08-06-2009, 11:57 PM I dunno, I love that car....
SayNoToPistons 08-07-2009, 12:22 AM My pants I have jizzed. He's on 7club.
nvrfalter 08-07-2009, 12:41 AM i guess im a purist then. shits ug
SayNoToPistons 08-07-2009, 01:08 AM Well if he got rid of the stupid offset wheels with insane tire stretch, rear side skirts, stupid LEDs, row of gauges, woofers in the trunk and the Bose acouticwave system in the back, it would look pretty good.
nvrfalter 08-07-2009, 01:18 AM ya soooo does that mean youre retracting the jizz from your pants?
rodjonathan 08-07-2009, 01:56 AM man thats a sick 7
Mazdaspeed RX8 ver2 08-07-2009, 05:31 AM poor fd... :icon_no2: i have to agree with saynotopisonts second statement.
i enjoy'd reading about the style he was going for... i want to do mine filipino style and put as much ghetto fabulous parts on my 8 :)
Catspaw 08-07-2009, 06:26 AM Is that a pink dildo on the shift knob? :banghead:
XDEEDUBBX 08-07-2009, 07:49 AM hahah he said filipino style...LOL
SayNoToPistons 08-07-2009, 09:15 AM ya soooo does that mean youre retracting the jizz from your pants?
Negative. I learned to squint really hard to hide the imperfections. If i could retract jizz, I wouldn't have to waste my money on... Wait... What?
alfy28 08-07-2009, 09:37 AM poor fd... :icon_no2: i have to agree with saynotopisonts second statement.

lmao, that had me rolling.
Vlaze 08-07-2009, 10:42 AM Car looks sharp to me. Other than the oversized shift stick, I wouldn't change it. The wheel type I think is far better contrast to the norm. I prefer recessed wheel centers almost mimicking a racing wheel which is what I'm looking for later down the road investing in rims. His size selection could of been a tad smaller diameter wise, but that's about it.
Have to say I wonder where the heck a 21 yr old gets that kind of cashola to blow what looks like 10-20g's in parts for a car when going to school unless grandma left some serious cash in his savings before he was born. Part type or summer work can't fill that kind of void in a wallet to fund those upgrades, especially when it took only 8 months to put it all together..
CarAndDriver 08-07-2009, 01:12 PM Ack....
shizzlesled 08-07-2009, 05:29 PM Too much bling
j_tso 08-08-2009, 05:08 AM It's his car, but he just took all the sport out of a sports car.
pdxhak 08-08-2009, 09:17 AM The wheels and exhaust tips look like crap. But then again I hate Bosozoku style...
chickenwafer 08-08-2009, 03:43 PM I saw that FD at SevenStock last year....it's an eye grabber for sure.
It's not my style but I can dig it. Especially since he stands behind it and built it for what he wants....don't conform.
moRotorMotor 08-08-2009, 04:14 PM I don't mind any of that except the shift knob.
It actually is an eye grabber. I would not mind at all being seen in it. Rims would not be my first choice though I still like the style he went for.
Krazed_Rx8 08-08-2009, 05:21 PM The shift knob makes me  every time...
alfy28 08-08-2009, 06:07 PM i think you guys should give the man credit. its very hard to throw in all different type of styles into one car.
he got the boso style (hotoni baka mitai)
he got the, rolling down the street, smoking iXXX , sipping on gin and juice style
he got the , vrrrrooooom, poossh, vrrooooooooom sytle
he got the japanese writing all over his car , but only japanese ppl can read style..
what more can you ask for a car.
Catspaw 08-09-2009, 01:47 AM The irony of it is... this is what half of all cars in Japan look like. It's called 'VIP' style and is extremely popular, probably more so than the tuner style we get from the drift crowd.
pdxhak 08-09-2009, 08:24 AM This car is not VIP
9krpmrx8 08-09-2009, 08:33 AM i guess I am a purist then. shits ug
Me too, there is a lot I hate about that car. A lot I like too but the stuff I hate kills it for me. But it isn't my car so WGF.
alfy28 08-09-2009, 10:15 AM The irony of it is... this is what half of all cars in Japan look like. It's called 'VIP' style and is extremely popular, probably more so than the tuner style we get from the drift crowd. sorry to break it to you, but i visit japan at least once a year to visit family. i can tell you that its less then half. also the cars that are VIP's are not 7's. the car they use alot are, Toyota Marks, and Chaser and nissan gloria.
last , you see more tuned cars then VIP cars. ppl who drive VIP's are ususally wannabe gangsters, which is a small number, thank god
cajunrx8 08-09-2009, 02:58 PM Meh I like it over all, but a few things are nasty lookin.....
The shifter has gotta go!!! That is totally screwed up, the wheels are a little too wide for me but doable. the rest is ok.
Catspaw 08-09-2009, 03:04 PM As he tells us, Bruce's goal in building the car was to do it "Osaka style"--to, as he puts it, take a perfectly good track or luxury car . . . and ruin it. Think flared, Bosozoku-inspired family sedans-turned touge machines, dekotora, or bagged luxury rides on ridiculously off-set deep-dish wheels, and you've got the right idea.
That, my friend, is VIP. Don't believe me? Check it!

:celebrate
EDIT for Alfy:
Where I lived in Japan, we had a lot of bosozoku and gangster wannabes in addition to the tuner crowd. Nearly every family sedan, scooter, and kei-car that wasn't driven by an elderly couple looked like it had been stripped of all its decency. Obviously I'm exaggerating when I say half, but the number is pretty significant.
Also although this is a 7 and not a luxury sedan, its obvious that this was the style he was going for, as evidenced by the quote I pulled. Osaka-style is essentially an offshoot of the VIP tuning style.
renesisgenesis 08-10-2009, 01:02 PM Stupid. whatever. Chrome rims on a sports car are typically an immediate auto-gag reflex. Not sure why this guy feels the need to show off this car. at least we all get to see how much money he wasted.
