View Full Version : ebay body kits!
ZachLegend 08-05-2009, 07:43 PM Hey guys. So I have a MS replica front bumper that fits nicley but I'm sick of the cracking and i think i'd rather just get a Urathane bumper. So not really anyone on these forums is looking to sell a urathane bumper, so I went on ebay and found a bunch. one of which is local and at a resonable price, $300, primered. Just wondering if anyone has any expierence with ebay body kit parts and how they fit and the quality, ill attatch the link to the one i'm considering below, thanks guys!

ZachLegend 08-05-2009, 08:53 PM I see. Ok i tried searching before but couldn't find those. It seems all people were saying is fiberglass ebay sucks, nothing about urathane. Also, is that aeroworks company still around?
Razz1 08-05-2009, 09:51 PM I believe the Auto exe kit is uranthane
ZachLegend 08-05-2009, 10:12 PM is Auto exe legit?
nuke0907 08-05-2009, 10:59 PM autoexe is more legit than ebay. what kind of question is that?

ZachLegend 08-05-2009, 11:27 PM Thanks man. do you know anyone that has used any of their front bumpers?
cidvicious831 08-05-2009, 11:36 PM one of my friends or co worker. has it for his civic si. looks great. dont know about the rx8 though. and it is expensive. but you get what you pay for
krijpipudht 08-06-2009, 01:21 AM Any kit would fit if you spend enough time & money.
For Duraflex, aka Extreme Dimensions , aka Carbon Creation =:icon_tdow
Search for Extreme Dimensions and you will see how bad they are.
TopGear8 08-06-2009, 02:16 AM Most of the aftermarket MS kits that are made of Urethane like to start sagging, and get wavy along the top part of the bumper. It's good to go authentic for a bumper...It's the first thing people see.
ZachLegend 08-06-2009, 02:35 AM Ok well I messaged the dude on ebay. He's in Brea, pretty close to me. He said he said if the bumper doesnt fit extremely well I have a full refund, don't know if i should take his word on that.
And don't worry I know ED is crap.
There's no way I can afford an authentic, and i'd cry if I cracked it or something. Isn't authentic some version of fiberglass?
cidvicious831 08-06-2009, 07:21 AM talkin about body kits. who recomends seibon?
that chick is hot in the video, now ill buy one
krijpipudht 08-06-2009, 08:14 AM talkin about body kits. who recomends seibon?
Seibon's stuff are hand made.
It is depend on which batch you got and how lucky you are.
My friend bought doors, rear hatch & hood for his 350Z from Seibon.
Only hood fits perfectly in first time.
But Seibon are kind enough to replace those parts until they fit right in.
I got my rear skirt from them.
I'm quite lucky that it fits with some minor adjustment.

Everything cracks or rips. My MS front is in the body shop again. It happens.
The MS front is fiberglass, but it's supported with brackets throughout. I think if it was any other bumper that was on my car, it would've ripped apart.
It really depends on where you live but you should expect at least some damage on your front bumper if your car is lowered.
DroptRX8 08-06-2009, 01:05 PM with all of my experiences with bodykits, i know that there will never be a perfect bodykit because they all have their flaws to them, but some more then others. the ol sayin you get what you pay is so very true in most cases. ive seen some high dollar bodykits come very close to fitting, needing very little work by my body guy and ive seen some people be cheap about the kit and the body shop is left trying to fiberglass it all together.
think about this, if you were to purchase a car and you had to pick between a car with a great body on it or a car with all kinds of bodywork done to it, which one would you go with? with that being said, spend the extra on a kit because youll be payin just as much for a bodyguy to be prepping it to fit which will cause it to crack and break apart in the end.
also, if it doesnt workout for ya, who will pay for the shippin?
Hesselrode 08-19-2009, 12:03 PM i would go with authentic mazda parts, i can't see them not fitting properly...
yeah mazda body kits are already painted, it will fit perfect if its authentic

syntheticdarkness 08-19-2009, 02:58 PM I've had urethane kits on a couple cars, and never had problems for fittment, or waves. I like them since I've hit those damn parking dividers in winter time going down the hill with no control, and the only thing it did was a little scratch, and I've hit it pretty good. I had a fiero which I bought a gt bumper from a junkyard and we folded it in half and threw it in the trunk, got home and took it out and went right back to normal. Just my opinion.
cidvicious831 08-19-2009, 03:07 PM ok, ill be sure to do that. i just dont want to get some shitty ones that are bent or somthing.
Hesselrode 08-19-2009, 08:02 PM that evo-r lip is nice where did you get it from?
n/m just read the rest of the thread and saw you got it from ebay... was the fitment good?
Hesselrode 08-24-2009, 03:26 PM bump
