hi "newbi". welcome to the addiction. think it was pricey to keep the skyline running, you just wait. hopefully you researched the 8 before purchasing.

Depending where he is located an rx8 might not be anything compared to an r34.

^ as far as maintenance goes? rotary > any other decent sports car for maintenance.

maybe his r34 had to be run on race gas and had 1million hp and blew his motor a couple of times

who knows

beleave me i have done my homework,

the skyline ended up having nearly 10k spent just on the engine
and still didnt run right.

it did have big big bhp and goin to miss it but the rx8 has that more mature refinement that the skyline never,

i want something that will run when i turn the key and something stylish but not posery.

im only 24 but realised that its not worth spending money on cars unless u have to. good oil and regular maintenance for me i think.

still learning how the site works and looking up links etc.

hope to talk soon

Sup! Welcome to the forum. You got any questions, just hit the search bar or PM one of us willing folks and we will help you out or direct you where you need to go. Rotaries are a whole new world. I use to think I was a good mechanic, until I bought my 8. Then everything I knew didn't matter and I had to learn shyte all over again.

my location is crayford,
its a crapy little town between south east london and northwest kent.

5mins from dartford.

do you guys run many club days or meetings or anything?
i must admit i dont see alot of rx8's on the road. they seam to be more of a weekend toy. i did run my skyline all day everyday for everything and was a nightmare with keep refueling every 3days. so i baught a motorbike and used that for a bit but got knocked off. got the bike fixed, fell out of love with the skyline because how much it was costing.
exprted it to holland for pitiful money and now have this.

im 24 (25 in september) with no points or accidents, full no claims paying £575 a year insurance. thro A-Plan.

was shocked because the skyline was £1900 with everything declared.

if i hear of any meets when im not working il pop down, i work every other week for 7days or nights alternating. 7days, 7off, 7nights, 7off.

thanks for the responses.

It's amazing, everyone who lives in american wants to leave here and everyone elsewhere wants to move here. (I swear one of you gives me the "everyone hates america and canada isn't america imma open a can of ........ Canada is in North America)
Athem anyways, with a schedule like that are you a commercial pilot?

You think Crayford is a crappy little town?....you'll HATE Canada!

We wrote the book on CLT's!

Five hours from a mountain, twelve hours from a beach, light years from the nearest racetrack.

From this crappy little town, the nearest traffic light is 60 miles......

Come on over!
