View Full Version : Pack comes through!
khoney 01-04-2004, 05:10 PM I may get run over by an F-350 for this, being from Texas and all, but WOOOOOO HOOOOOO! America's Team comes through in the clutch! I'm referring to the Pack, of course :)
What a great game! I have no fingernails left.
wakeech 01-04-2004, 06:12 PM heh heh, my dad told me about what a big deal it was that they were there, what luck they had that the Vikings barely, barely, barely lost to the Cards (who had to win for GB)... pretty cool, even if you're not a football fan.
Astor 01-04-2004, 07:00 PM I am a football fan, and of course I'm for the Titans, look out New England. I hope it's the Titans and Green Bay or Carolina in the Big Bowl. Too bad about Denver though, I hate Indy, went to the same school as Peyton Manning, a couple of years before him, some of my friends knew him and said he couldn't even order his own pizza, must be a football savant.
velociti 01-04-2004, 07:53 PM It's great to see, especially with Favre being a beast on the field after his father's unfortunate death. I really admire the guy. Being from Philly I'm obviously rooting for the Birds next week, but in complete honesty, with the injuries that the Eagles defense has had, I think they're going to have a hell of a time stopping Favre. That being said, Andy Reid has managed to win all season despite having the injuries pop up. We'll see, but I think the Eagles will have a tough time next weekend...
NAVILESRX8 01-04-2004, 07:57 PM The Pats are gonna make it to at least the AFC champ game. Tennesse....no way. They are all banged up, and they are coming to frigid Foxboro, MA.
Anyway back to the Packers. I was laughing my ass off when Hasselbeck said"Yeah, we gonna recieve, and SCORE!!" I said to my wife,"they are gonna lose just cause he said that."
Sho nuff...they lost. HAHAH I wasn't really pulling for either team.
Astor 01-04-2004, 08:24 PM Steve McNair plays better hurt, and they have a backup running back that is faster than George and younger, watch for suprises, we're due, the game they lost earlier in the year was close and could have gone either way had McNair not tried to rush a play before the 2 minute warning a threw an interception. I wouldn't worry too much about any of the NFC teams. Indianapolis will be a tougher team to beat.
klegg 01-04-2004, 08:44 PM All I can say is "FLY EAGLES FLY, ON THE ROAD TO VICTORY."

If Philly is worried about stopping Favre, they WILL lose. They need to worry about stopping Ahman Green!
RX-GR8 01-05-2004, 03:02 PM as i said in another thread. colts 35 slackers 28.

I think they were jealous of him so claim he is a dummy. I'm pretty sure he graduated with a business degree early from Tennessee and was an academic All-American. That is pretty impressive considering in the fall football is a minimum 40 hour work week and the rest of the year it is a 20 hour work week.
Astor 01-05-2004, 03:41 PM The Story as told to me by reputable friend:
Peyton Manning can't figure out how to order pizza, calls girlfriend on cell phone while she is out of town, girlfriend has to call back long distance to order pizza. Now, some people can be smart in some areas, I conceed Peyton is probably one of the best in the league, and may after years of experience, surpass such legends as Joe Montana & Dan Marino, but it was a comment made more in jest, however, true story as told by friend. I'm going with the Titans and Packers however my opinion is biased.

YUp, you are right. Of course, favre has been putting up some huge numbers of late....but I think the eagles have a destiny this year...hope westbrook can play!
OmegaBob 01-06-2004, 11:09 PM Fly Eagles Fly, on the road to victory!
Fight Eagles fight, score a touchdown 1-2-3!
Hit 'em low
Hit 'em high,
And we'll watch our Eagles fly!
Fly Eagles fly, on the road to victory!
Wooo hooooo!
Senseny 01-06-2004, 11:17 PM I went to a division 1A school and I am not surprised if Peyton was an academic all American because I am sure his "tutor" was pretty smart, his class schedule relatively lax, and his profs and TA forgiving.
Go Eagles
