nope just got it...don't wanna do too much...just got in a big accident..and lost alot of money on mods i spent on the old car..lol but i do wanna get intake and exhaust in the future..just don't know too much about the rotary engine to mess with it myself..

Mine is titanium grey. You live right by the dealership, you know this? go test drive one. Make your own mind up. If you have any problems (under warranty) at Gunther they'll give you a temp car while they fix it. Go talk to Harold in used car sales (he's the internet guy and you get better deals) and tell him Kevin the guy that traded the ford ranger sent you.

which dealership, there are mitsubishi and a dodge. Then on Pines Blvd there are Maroone Ford and Chevrolet? I bet your ride looks sweet, when i go out and look im not sure if id like titanium grey, the other grey, or winning blue is it?

lol, i love the blue and titanium grey. you arent the only one ive seen with it however. but i'll keep that in mind. I love the whole blue car and CF, and Black powdercoated rims and such

They are great cars i ahve a blue one. My dealer is gunther they are great. I also love there service.

just tell them you are looking at some other cars. I am sure you can spout some out to make them tell you their car is better. Tell them you are looking to buy with in the next month or so. Salespeople are always geared to sell.

Sorry Ft Liquordale but were twins, I have the titanium GT with aero, and there might be one more of us, I saw a titanium GT pulling into CB Smith park on tuesday!

I have the GT with Aero as well. I was just messing. I am getting tint shortly and I think I am getting the Greddy Exhaust and possibly a custom intake soon. Should be an interesting month.

Sticking to the topic it looks like I am heading up to the towers tomorrow for the car show. My buddy has a tricked out stang, so we will be caravaning.

What and where is the towers, is it just for our cars. I work weekends so I couldn't go to the Markham park event, I'm freed up at night though.

towers is on university just a notch south of 595. it a big car show every friday night. domestics to imports to ricers and all taht falls inbetween. they play music like 102.7

Last time I was there all the rotaries where on the south west corner of the lot.

Anyone have experience installing blinker clear outs? I have my package, but haven't put it in yet. Might bring it along tonight.

I have them its really really simple, you need a phillips screwdriver, one of regular size and also a small one so you can get the plastic screws inside the wheel well off, the wheel is kind of in the way. hopefully you got the amber lightbulb replacement also.

at what time are you going?

I will be there by 8 hopefully. I am not sure if I will show my car off. Kind of dirty. I don't know if there is anything special I have to do to bring my car in anyhow.

That was mine. If you noticed I got those clear outs on with ease. 5 minute job. I was over with my buddy at his mustang like 5 or 6 cars down while he was spraying. He was so proud of himself.

There were 3 total in the lot. Eclpse was neither of them. One of them had a K&N and a Billy Boat (B&B) exhaust. He seemed like he was annoyed or something. And dipped out almost as soon as he got there. I didn't get to ask him anything else. there was also an older dude with an automatic and a K&N. He did not park in the lot. The blue one was a GT like mine.

Anyhow, it is every friday starting at 6. Last weekend of the month is supposed to be the 'real mazda' club of south florida meet. Read my post above about that. Can't wait to hear the mid pipe.

LMAO. I was the reason that guy was annoyed. He claimed he was putting out about 230. I had to burst his bubble when I told him that with the intake, midpipe, and catback I only threw down 173. lol. My friend gave him the phone when I asked what he had.


As far as hearing the midpipe you're gonna have to wait. It seems my tranny is pretty FUBAR. I don't know when I'll have the car back. Time for a mazdaspeed clutch & flywheel. :D

Para, sorry to hear about the trainy. The B&B exhaust on that dude's car sounded nice though. He got off the nextel with you and sped off.

Sorry to hear about that eclps. Just hop in the 8 and open it up a bit. The intake sound should make you feel better. ;)

Yeah. So my tranny won't go into 1st or 2nd unless the car is rolling, and 5th is completely shot. Pretty sure it's a bent linkage and major synchro damage caused by my friend missing a HARD 1-2 shift. I don't totally blame him. I've done it many times myself. His was just the proverbial straw that broke the camels back. And yes, he does know how to drive stick. He owns an immaculate 93 rx7 that's pretty modified. He's agreed to help out if necessary. I just hope I get the car back fast. I'll probably have them do the recalls on it while it's in too.

what are symptoms that your gear box/tranny are going?

I'm pretty sure when my friend missed the shift he bent the linkage or the forks. Everything else, like the synchros and the gears themselves seem fine. There doesn't seem to be any unnatural noise coming from the tranny while in motion. I'll know more tomorrow hopefully. It may be down for a while to get the recall work while it's in.

Could you fill us in on who or what these guys are and what they are claiming, so as they can label themselves the 'real mazda' club of FL. Im curious as to who they are. You can PM me if you like.

beats me. I threw out the flyer. there wasn't an official 'real mazda' web site, but the dude posting it had some website with his protege on it. It may be bigger than I think. Or it might be a joke. Who knows. It wasn't asking for money or anything. I am sure you will see them friday if you go. Anyone want to start the 'real rx-8 club?' we can make t-shirts.
