Hey all!

Had a great day yesterday, just a bunch of my friends driveing around on the twisties, giveing our cars a much needed work out.

So after a full day of twisties and back roads.. We went to check out out friend's Miata (very nicely tuned). Has a roll cage in it, so the top stays down as much as possible. But, by that time it has gotten dark and the tempreture dropped, so I went to get my jacket out of the trunk of my 8 before the test drive.

Thanks to the ungodly huge muffler on the 8 and just a wicked all day work out. Putting on my jacket felt like I was just takeing my wash right out of the dryer...

Such a nice warm feeling!

Thanks Mazda for that added bonus feature!

Not looking forward to that when it's 102° F here this summer. Has anyone driven one of these in the heat yet? Any Aussies out there have summer experience with the a/c? Just curious.

105+ end of summer in Las Vegas. My AC worked exceptionally well. No hot air like others are saying.

Also for people that go grocery shopping on a hot day with their 8..

Imagine putting your milk or frozen veggies in the trunk.....

You should check out these bags, they are the most amazing thing I have ever seen. They will keep frozen food completely frozen for 2 hours. I stuck some popsicles in there, and there was no melting at all after one hour. They are supposed to work for hot stuff too, but I haven't tried that.

PERFECT for keeping in your trunk for grocery store trips.

(I have no affiliation with this company, I just can't believe these things aren't totally famous by now.)

Mabey we can start a fax campain to start an affiliation with Mazda so they can put little RX8 or ROTARY symbols on the bags!

Offer them as an after market option.

( Of course I am not affilated with this company either :) )

Look at my sig. I drove around San diego during the summer, cursing the cycling a/c (which i hope is getting fixed as we speak). The trunk, center tunnel, kickplate area all get very hot. I wouldn't put perishables in the trunk, esp ice cream, on the way home from the store. But on days that you want to keep things warm, then yeah it's a great feature.
