I did not receive the Road and Track, and Mazda Canada promised those who did not receive one another gift. Mine arrived last week.

I believe that the magazines where stopped around the time of the HP reduction.

In Canada, no RX-8 pre-orders received the hardcover Yamaguchi RX-8 book - those were to be sent to actual buyers after they took delivery (not the R&T special, the book was the same as the US pre-order book). Only a few copies were actually delivered, then the HP revision came along, Mazda Canada stopped sending out any books until it was sorted out, then decided to not send them at all, and to send a pen instead. I still haven't received anything, and I was one of the first in Canada to take delivery. :mad: My dealer screwed up on sending in the letter for the book, so I didn't get it, and now who knows? Time for a nagging phone call to Mazda Canada!

I acutally got another R&D rx-8 supplement. This one has "updated product specification" 238hp 197hp etc.....

I ended up buying the book on ebay, and now I have a pen as well. All in all I am happy.

One thing which Mazda has done a good job of is providing little things (mugs, books, pens) to try to enhance the ownership experience. These are things they don't have to do, but are doing to make us enjoy having an RX-8.
