well the absolute best thread i can think of is 3Rotor's thread where he shared his video of our cars off loading at the port of tacoma you can find the thread here (http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5674)

he also provided us with the name of the ship and its port schedule shorly before that so we could track the ship. he was also the first person in the US to take posssession of an RX-8 . so those events were damn cool. l

I will never forget '3ROTOR's home movie of the first RX-8s rolling off the ship in Tacoma, (and his kids comments in the soundtrack)...PRICELESS!

And yes, EASTMOONs f'irst forum owner' posts were spellbinding.

LOL. As I hoped would happen, this thread has pointing out some great threads I had missed. I really liked the video of the cars coming out of the port. That was before my time, but I certainly got a thrill watching it.

Wakeech is a damn-good sport.

There have also been some pretty complicated DIYs which I missed. Of course, when one comes along that you are interested in doing, it's hard to be objective.

I expect that I may not be able to keep up... I've decided that I am going to let it run a day or so and then see where this thread is, and perhaps update it then. We might want to post a poll to end the thread to recognize the "best" thread in each category... totally subjective, totally arbitrary, but worth doing just to resurrect some discussions of the best of the year.

The funniest thread is Noahprtlnd's fake V8 RX8 conversion.

The second funniest is that guy (forgot his user name) who says "you are going to like this" and who was going to do some big time custom navigation install.

Come now. I woulda thought someone would have nominated the rx-8 lemonade post by canzoomer. After all, it led to the developement of what is one of the most eagerlay awaited new mods for the car :D

and yeah, i've obviously not gotten around to it, but i'll be probably using a few of those pictures in a rotation... thanks to all contributors: the contest is not over!! ...ever!! :D

The old STi vs. RX-8 thread was certainly a nasty one, I'd post a link but I really don't want to see that one bumped, the Best Motoring video one I posted earlier was certainly a bit nasty, and also the first thread I ever posted in, before you say anything it was nasty before I posted :p
