I have found the smaller scale models of the blue 8 but cant seem to find any 1:18 size. I have found Red, Yellow, Silver, titanium grey, & Black! But cant seem to find one for the Blue! Anyone know where to find one???

They are nice! I am tempted to just buy a different color since I cant find a blue in this size

I'm sorry, that is the Titanium Grey, not Silver(the one in ebay). AutoArt doesn't make the RX-8 in Sunlight Silver. I've checked on AutoArt's website already and all they have are Lightning Yellow,Titanium Grey, and Velocity Red.

But if someone sees otherwise, Please step in and correct me

oh sorry, I guess the picture made it look like the lighter silver one. Plus the description says "silver" so...what else can a person think? :) So now we need a Blue...AND a Silver one! I wish they would just make all of the colors, grrr

Don't worry. I know you didn't do that on purpose because you were only following what the description said (probably some hobo with no clue what color the RX-8 was offered in) . I was really upset that AutoArt didn't make one in my color :(. Oh well, I'll just have to get one from Tamiya and I can drive it too! :p

I went through the same color problem with my VW Jetta. They seemed to have all of the colors but bBack! I finaly settled on buying a Blue Jetta. This time wtih the 8 I want Blue & they have black. Haha...go figure

I'm bumping this up just in case someone has come up with an answer to this burning question: Why doesn't AutoArt make a Winning Blue 8 in 1/18? I've got a 1/43 blue and a 1/64 blue, but I want the Big Guy.

I am in the same boat. I am just waiting for a winning blue 1/18 scale.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone thought of taking the touch up paint that Mazda sends you and painting the Titanium Gray?

I know I couldn't because I have 0 artistic ability.

Hmm... painting a gray one. If I can't get a 1/18 blue I may have to use my touch-up paint.

Modelers will be quick to tell you that even paint needs to be scaled.

I'm another one who's bought the two smaller blue 8s, but I don't want to try using touch-up paint on the 1/18th because, aside from the paint's thickness, I expect that those metallic flecks will look strangely chunky on the model.
