Not sure if this has been discussed, but I know some of you 8 owners were considering getting an aftermarket lcd. Alpine has released 7" 1-DIN LCD w/ DVD player for $2599.99 +S&H + customs charges.

YEAH!! I just saw that Picture too!!! ANYone know where to buy that bracket? So, I can finally install my Pioneer P7500 DVD player in my RX-8. Or is that bracket custom made to fit the player?

Oh man, that's one clean install, thought it could have gone worse, but that looks great :)

That setup is almost a year old by now. It's a custom job.

Personally, I think it looks hacky and awkward.

Yes it's retractable, and I found some places that sell it for 1700.

Even with the molding to hold the reciever or is that a custom job?

I'm still not sure why anyone would try to avoid the $2000 factory install that's so clean and integrated to do something like this. Matter of preference, I guess...
