Hi RX-ers,

I just resumed running to give the year and myself a fresh start. Due to finishing a SW product nearing the end of '03 I was totaly left without any physical exercises for the last 3 months...

So waking fresh after new year's celebration I dressed and took an easy path in the nearby forest up to the hills. I'm lucky 'coz after about 5 mins of walk I'm on some really amzing path in the woods.

The weather was quite cloudy and foggy the temp is near freezing in fact as I ascended near to the hightst point of the course there was some snow and ice on the rocks. It was quite like running up into a silent and damp cloud.

Just by the wall clock at home I ran from 10am to 11:15. The course was about 10 miles long with about 1400 ft of elevation.

I wish all members and visitors of this forum a plesently fresh start for 2004!

Tamas

p.s.
Here is a picture of a part of the course I took in the sunshine...

Looks like you have some beautiful trails to run on.

I am forced to run on the roads because there aren't very many good wooded trails to run on around here.

Keep up the good work.

Nice Shot!

Happy New Year to all of you as well! It is raining here but soon as it stops I will jump on the Mt Bike for nice muddy ride. Then when it is sunny I will jump in my new 8 and begin the year on a positive note!

Best to all!

I live in the city as well and try to run about 4 miles 3 days a week. Your place looks a lot nicer than running around city blocks and having to constantly worry about drivers not paying attention and ready to run me over everytime I cross a street.

Happy New Year everyone.

I could run about 100 yards before I had a heart attack :)

Looks like you have a beautiful place to run - that would make it a lot more enjoyable.

Ooopps I did it again...

Was harder then yesterday and guite a bit more chily up there. I had to slow down my pace to avoid slipping downhill so I managed to get a similar time although was a bit faster (and more out of breath) uphill.

Having muscle strain a few parts in my body.

Yeah, it's about an hour listening to my footsteps on frozen cracking leafs and a bit of a wind. I heard cracking noise once, probably a deer but not sure. I can imagine it may sound a bit scary for someone used to a BIG city.
