Mazurfer is a great guy! In 100 degree weather, he battled through slightly corroded battery connectors, 3 inch cold air tubing, a throttle body as hot as hellfire and a leftover plastic covering from hell, over wire bundles and under a strut bar, all to reach at last my pulley system.

His impact drill was mighty as it slayed a tremendous bolt. 3 clicks is all it took, or was it two?

Really he did most of the hard stuff. Smaller arms is all I really brought to the table.

I couldn't be more grateful. He was injured in service to my car. he didn't charge me a cent. And to literally top is all off, he gave me a sweet blue rotor shaped oil cap just cuz he had a spare laying around.

I'd say big thumbs way up for mazsurfer! Rest assured Rx8 owners, this guy's got your back.

I'm benefiting greatly from a wonderful community. I only hope I can give back as much.

Thanks again!

Well, he made it sound a little bit dramatic, but it was hot has hell.............and of course we jumped pretty much right in without allowing thge engine to really cool down from his 40 minute drive.
Injury................Bastage will tell ya, I can't work on a car without at least a little blood loss! It was but a flesh wound!

Seriously.....it shouldn't have taken as long, but being just moved into my new place, I couldn't locate half the tools in a timely manner, then of course the one time we thought we had the loosened and pulled the guide pulley all the way down and still couldn't get the new belt on. Then we finally said(after 15 minutes of pouring sweat)..........that freaking guide pulley must not be all the way down and allow us to get this belt on! Argh!!!!!! Of course.......we found out we had more and could lossen and slide further! Argh! :banghead::banghead:
We also decided to do this with the intake tray still there even though he has no intake box. If we took the tray out it would've been easier, but didn't want to mess with the intake tubing to get the tray out, so we paid that price.

Oh...and thanks for the good words! It was nice to meet ya! Now............I hope I can make that BBQ, I have a wedding to go to on one of those days, and it seems as if they keep moving the date around. http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=176186
Bastage......you gonna try and show? Look like it will be a small gathering, but what the hell.

I'm usually in Orlando for most of my Sundays, so probably not.

BTW, it was @##$%#%@#%#ing HOT yesterday. DAMN!

It's tempting me to get air conditioning for my garage.
