WTB: Rx-8 sun shade.

Hello. I am looking for an rx-8 sun shade (with the logo, pretty sure they make them) because my car gets hotter than hell. Anyone got one? New or used.

Ya, but I'm not looking to buy one for $40. Thats what the OEM costs... or that's what it costs on rx8strakes....

I'd like to make a suggestion. I was originally in the market for the RX-8 sunshade but could not justify the price or the bulk of the shade.

I went to Target and bought a sunshade that collapses into a circular dish. It comes in two parts and the standard size fits the windshield very well. The dimensions of each panel is 25"x28". It was only $8.99.

Well... found one on here for $32... But the one for 8.99 that was mentioned folds in a circle? That sounds like you could hide it easier...

I have the OEM one. It is the exact dimensions of the front glass. Do you really think an $8.99 Target one size fits most sun shade is going to fit even half as well as one made specifically for the car? lol Would you like me to take a picture of how it fits?

If you wouldn't mind...

But also. Does it just roll like a regular old sun shade? and where do you store yours?

It rolls up and has velcro to hold it. I just keep it in the backseat. I'll post up a couple pictures in a few minutes.

Custom fit of the OEM shade is definitely the way to go. I use mine so much that I don't bother to roll it up - just fold it a few times and toss it in the back seat.

Sounds like that's the way to go.

This is the cheapest I've found: http://finishlineperformance.com/sto...cat=267&page=6

Anyone know of a better price?

I can get more pictures of whatever you want. The shade is the size of the glass, but there isn't really anything to hold the top all the way up. It does cover damn near the entire thing though.

Does it keep the car a lot cooler?

I bought the "disney - Cars" one for like 10€ and it fits nicely
if it is not a personal preference to stick with the OE one just go get it!

That OEM sun shade looks like *** compared to the Target $8.99 I bought. Seriously, I wouldn't recommend it if I thought it was bad - I have impossibly amazing taste. Edit: Just found out the name of the product.

Altus Platinum Magic Shade Standard Sunshade.

I will post a new thread with a video showing how much I like it on Monday.

I'll take a picture of mine and post it up here tomorrow. Until then I suggest the OP reconsider his vanity when it comes to an RX-8 Logo.

Plus, the OEM one doesn't stay up unless the visors are down?! That sucks, especially considering how fragile our sunvisors can be. The Target one I have clips into the window frame and stays upright and taut.

Hey, just found this thread. I have one OEM with the RX8 printed in black on the silver shade the folds up. Still interested? It came with my car when I bought it, but it really isn't sunny that much in Ohio so I don't even keep it in the car.

However, it is June and I still have my snowbrush.

EDIT: say 20 bucks plus a few bucks for shipping? I bet it can fit in a poster tube. PM me.

It stays up without the visors being down lol. I just took a picture of how I left my car this morning. It isn't like I made sure it fit in there perfectly or anything. I was looking for a CD and that is why the visors are down btw. Do/think what you want though.
