Maybe some of u remember a thread i posted like 3 week ago about the trip to squirrel spur or blue ridge parkway... well nobody replied but the trip was not cancel me n my friends went there n drove like crazy n have a GREAT time...

Well let me tell u.............

i set up a camera inside of my car n recorded everything since the gas station till the way back(when my battery died :-( ) the road is really curvy. i push my 8 to the handling limits, really close curves at 55 open curves at 65-70mph no problem... i even drifted a couple but my friends were on bikes n ask me to stop drifting!!!! lol :-(
i absolutely love my 8..
one of my friends ask me to let him drive it so hi drove it on the mountains while i was on his 1100 yamaha doing 95mph in front of him(i was chasin them the whole time so it was my time to be the leader!!lol) i cant post the video cus it is 1:49:56 so its way too long.. hopefully nxt time somebody will reply to my meeting post cuz i want some 8's buddies..

i just drifted like 2 curves n i check nobody was coming it was pretty much us all the way in the mountains

OP....The ONLY rule you have on those PUBLIC mountain roadways is to NEVER cross that double yellow line...When we get together for groups like 30-40 cars from all over the country.....we really do want to go home. I'm not trying to be harsh, but bragging about driving like that on those roads when half the 8 owners on the east coast know them, is NOT cool. Its also advocating street racing which is not allowed on this forum. Learn your car and enjoy it. Don't kill yourself or someone else trying.

I agree, go to some HPDE events, or a local AutoX, and you will be less tempted to "drift" your car on mountain roads.
