Ordered my 8 Sept 3rd and finally received my 8 on Dec 22 after almost 4 months! The salesman originally promised 11-10.

After reading the literature and reviewing this forum over the last 4 months, I was anxious and had high expectations. The car is awesome and has exceeded my expectations. It sure turns lots of heads in Iowa! Thought I might regret not getting the manual transmission but I really enjoy the automatic and the paddle shifters! I find myself using the cruise control trying to stay within the speed limit!

Just finished waxing the car using 2 coats of Zaino. I followed the instructions step by step and after 5 hours or so I finished. Awesome product! I sure would recommend it. Check out my pics at this website: http://home.mchsi.com/~dave.hughes/index.html

FYI: I purchased my 8 for $28,558 b/4 taxes & licenses ..exactly 2% obove dealer invoice of $27,998...MSRP $30,609.

Last: The salesman gave me a 191 page hardcover book on the history of the RX-8 by Jack K. Yamaguchi. See book cover pic at the website above. Did anyone else get this with their purchase?

Haven't named it yet but I am working on a personalized license plate name like ( RX VIII, Hueys 8, Maz Rx 8, Zm Zm, Zoom, etc..). I'll post my final decision soon.

Everyone who pre-ordered an RX-8 in the US received a hardcover RX-8 book by Jack Yamaguchi.

I included posted a copy of the cover of the book on my website. I would ask your salesman if has any to give away. I'm guessing the Mazda dealerships were given a supply.

thanks
