This is the definition of a "fanboi." I can see you arguing that the RX8 LOOKS better, but performance wise there is no argument to be had.

I never thought I would reach worry free boosting but I have.

I have beat them on low boost as well....8 psi on my Turbo
As soon as I Sell my other Supercharged RX-8 I will be doing a 5 speed swap and a 3.9 diff change.
Once I feel confident in the transmission I am going to dyno the hell out of the car until it reaches 25+ psi or it blows up, whichever is first.
Then say hello to a completely ported engine that is fully built with a dash of some specialty nitrous injection too boot.
It always is sad to see another Turbo for sale thread.....

yeah.. just what worries me the most is tuning.. i dont know who would be able to get it tuned.. mm is my current cobb tuner but it takes a while to actually get a tune imnea his tuning abilities are AWESOME! but its my dd ya know? id feel more comfortable if i had another car.
i might just pull the trigger and get it installed this summer.. they are charging me 600 bucks to get it isntalled and then prob another 300 ish for tuning and what not. im good for 9 psi DD and high boost 12 or 13 psi.
The potential to mod an Evo exceeds that of an RX8 by leaps and bounds.
People tend to buy a vehicle and then justify it by exaggerating its pros and minimizing its faults.
Evos are faster, have more passenger space, have more power, have more potential to make power, have better after market, and better resale, oh did I mention it has better gas millage as well? (Comparing an RX8 to an Evo is pointless)
I have owned an Evo before and I currently still own a DSM (the predecessor of Evos) My reason for having an RX8 is because I have always liked their looks and ease of driving. I didn't buy it to be a top performer, I bought it to be different, oh and it is "just a car" some of us have the benefit of getting what we want, just because, not because we have no other option. That obviously isn't your case, but don't always negate the "its a DD or just a toy" argument because for some that holds true.

All I know is that they are great cars, but the rx8 different. You almost can't compare them. One is 4 wheel drive rally car. The other a 2 wheel drive sports car. A "coupe" vs a sedan.
I'd stick with the 8.

driven 2 evos, the MR and GSR. even drove the RalliArt. im planning to get one next year probably. but it's true that they are completely different cars. without tuning, the evo has the power, i find the 8 more classy and stylish tho. the 8 gets noticed more by people in my opinion.

I don't care how much money people put in their car or what they do to it, it doesn't change the general facts... Chicken seems to believe that just because he buys a particular car and throws money at it that to justify owning it you have to throw logic and reality out of the window...

Yes we all like the way our 8s look but they get horrible gas millage *fact* low on the torque and over all power department, even when turbo'd *fact* pricey to mod *fact* little gains from most mods, any major mods require big dollars and reduces the already poor reliability greatly *fact* horrendous resale value *fact* High maint. vehicle *fact*
I can go on and on... We don't need to ignore these things about our vehicle, we just need to accept them.
