Asahi.com is a online version of Asahi newspaper, one of the largest newspaper in Japan (probably largest).

I'm the first one with RX-8!! They've had quite few interesting cars featured on their site. If you can read Japanese, check the other cars too.

Just moved from SC to Nashville.

I heppened to write/speak Japanese since I was born and raised there. Asahi.com has been a good source of info about my native land.

Nice to know there're few other members in Nashville. I am totally new to this area and have ZERO idea what's going on.
I bought a house in Hendersonville, so Nashville speedway is not too far. I'm really looking forward to start autoxing again.

You know, I have yet to see another RX-8 on the road since I got here! Only one exception: I saw an TGM GT Auto w/ AP at Opry Mills parking lot. That's it! I hardly drive my RX-8, so I'm not really contributing either....

I visited Nelson Mazda at Rivergate few days ago and talked to one of the sales lady, she said RX-8 has been selling well.... I don't know whether people who buys RX-8 has daily driver (like myself) and doesn't drive it in bad weather (like today).....

I really want to know what kind of twisty roads are available around Nashville area.

I don't see that many rice-mobiles in Nashville, not as much as I did in SC or GA. That's a good thing.

Wow, you mean I'm not the only person in the Nashville area who owns an 8?! I have only had mine for a few weeks and so far I have yet to see another RX-8 outside of the dealership's parking lot! And now I find out that there is another one in Hendersonville (where I live as well)! How am I missing all of you when I am out on the road???

I see few RX-8 in my commute. I see a Black one in the morning, coming from Hendersonville on VVP, then onto I-65 south bound and then to Briley Pkwy west.

Also, there's a girl driving a silver base auto with 16" wheel, I see her quite often in Rivergate area.

Also, another Silver one in Hendersonville! I've only seen him/her twice so far...

I have yet to go to Autocross since this spring. There'll be at least 2 more events this season, we should get together and participate!!

BTW, I drive black '04 Sentra as a daily driver. If you see a black Sentra with Bridgestone sticker on back window, that will be me!!

That guy in the other silver might just be me :-) I have a silver 6 speed with sport package and nothing else. I have never autocrossed, but I have been to Deal's Gap more times than I can count in the Miata I used to own, I don't know if I could afford the tires I would go through if I took up autocross :-)

Actually my brother-in-law doesn't drink or smoke... but he also doesn't show much interest in women (OR men... pretty sure he's NOT gay). :p

You must be loving it there! I grew up in Otaku, Tokyo. Very close to Haneda airport. I used to go see street drifting in bay area...those were the days...
Eat some Kaiten-sushi for me! Negi-toro is my favorite!!

Actually I do, I used to drive, and ride on a stretch of road in Hendersonville (I sold cars for a local VW/Hyundai dealer and would take some of my more adventurous customers out to these roads) but I have to admit it has been a few years since I have driven there and the way things are growing up around here it may have changed and possibly gotten even more dangerous, lots of hidden driveways so you have to be pretty careful.

Lets figure out how to get in touch and I can show you were they are.

Actually after over 5 years here... I am about ready to move back. Commuting by train everday sucks! Trains stopping at 12am-1am sucks! Hard-core Japanese offices suck!

That being said... I actually used to live in Ota-ku for awhile. My place sucked though... right by the Heiwajima Kyouteijou. Damn loud and my over-priced parking space nearby would get salt spray on my car all the time! :mad: Kaiten Sushi... my favorite is Ootoro and Chuutoro, but I prefer to go to a full blown sushi restaurant. Hard to find a Kaiten Sushi with decent quality fish.

I fit in here even less! 6', 200+lbs, size 15 shoes (that one kills them all the time) and I'm black. But at least i do drink and occasional smoke... ;)

Japanese and sex... nope... I'm not touching that one!
