Insane!!!

Everywhere I take the car, people either start to stare or give complements. In other words, this car attracts attention especially when it comes to girls.

Anyway, I'm "Lovin' it" !!! This car is awesome!!!

I finally took this car to about 100mph on the Highway. It just felt so smooth and sounded pretty quiet (road and wind noise). The best part is listening to the engine rev up.

...simply awesome!!!

I know it's so fun. In my thread "feeling so cool" thread I mention this, too. I get tons of looks, 360 degree head turns, thumbs up, people asking me about it, just plain gawking all the time!

yeah that's why I'm cosndering buying the RX8. I can't wait to test drive it and see how it compares to the BMW and lexus drives, but it certainly has the external looks won.

It's funny - almost every mag review rates the styling as one of its weaker points, yet this car gets more lustful looks than Victoria's Secret commercials.

I wished I lived where you guys live, cuz here in san fran, I get a looker or a commenter once in a while. Maybe cuz there are soo many import cars here, so the rx-8 isnt standing out as it should. Anyways, very happy that you're rx-8's are getting the attention it deserves.

Errr... Not to come across as some kinda jerk, here... but I live in a town where mine is the ONLY 8 in town, there is a total of 4 1st gens, 3 2nd gens, and one 3rd gen - this last one is sitting under a foot of snow in a backyard. I have talked to the owner, and she isn't willing to part with it. i'll keep trying though :)
Ah, but back to the looks and stares and attention.
Ummm. Yea. The first day I had it home, I took it to my brother-in-laws' home electronics store, located in the downtown area of town, parked in a "No Parking" zone out front - (It's his loading zone). I wasn't even out of the car before I was swarmed. When the weather cooperates, I take it down there on the weekends, and get just about the same reaction. :D
Did I mention that the nearest Mazda dealership is 65 miles away? :D

Everytime I go to the store or out somewhere, when I walk back to my car, there are people standing around it and pointing at it. People want to know what I think and if its "fast" etc. I love the attention it gets. People are always staring at it as I drive around town. I get a lot of thumbs-ups as well.
