You should have had a category "some college" I went to University for 7 years and recieved enough credits for 3 minors and are 20 credits from a major, but I dropped out... I sort of did a buffet of knowledge.. So anyway, I was forced to put "high school diploma"

That is true. I can't change the poll now though, sorry...I'm sure all the credits you amassed would have qualified you for an Associates Degree though, had you been going to a junior college; for those of you that have had around 2 yrs of college (60 credits) but didn't graduate, might as well put "Associates Degree"

Seven years and 20 hours short of a bachelor's. I bet Budweiser would give you an honorary PhD in keg diving.:D

I'm a dentist. When they asked in the interview what other careers I had considered, I said I always wanted to be a stunt car driver. I think the usual answers are things like teacher (I always wanted to do that, too!), physician, therapist, counselor, etc. Well, at least I was honest. I've always had a passion for cars!

You don't own an RX8? You're one of the most contributing members, and aren't you a mod?

Added bonus: Malpractice insurance runs a lot cheaper.

Even if you don't need a degree for your job, it may be a good thing to consider. It helps if you want to change careers and also may be of personal value if the degree is in a subject that interests you. With on-line schools like Phoenix or Capella you can get a degree over years at your own pace.

I think we all continue to learn all our lives, or at least should.

Well, since PA announcing and running scoreboards doesn't pay enough to make a living (or buy an 8), I got my BS in Aerospace Engineering.

For god's sake man, do not go to law school!
Les, help me talk him out of the JD part!

Law touches all aspects of corporate and human endeavor, therefore a JD can be used in so many ways. If you like to read, you'll make it. In my case, nice clean law books were preferable to guts and boils (no offense to my doctor friends).

Come on Klegg, you'd do it all over again, wouldn't you?

You don't get a Phd for medicine, that's an MD or DO.

well i dont plan on becoming a lawyer. I am doing the JD/MBA to help me in other aspects. I will start the MBA in september then take 1 law class if i enjoy it i will go into the JD/MBA program. This is all backup to my "acting career" I am trying to get into entertainment, and doing this incase the acting thing never works out.

That is a good plan! If the acting thing takes off, I expect you to get carnal knowledge of angilina jolie, and to share the info with your good friend Klegg!

I have a BA in English Writing (journalism) and I currently own a commercial carpet and fabric cleaning company. Go figure. I don't regret those 4 years though. Education is a good thing.
