Did a on line quote today and on 10,000K a year I can save over $400 a year over my current RACQ insurance.

Thinking about signing up before the end of the month just wondering if anyone has heard anything negative about them.

just make sure you read PDS properly. I'm not sure how they would repair the car, based on cheapest quote or things like that.

Bear in mind that getting cheap insurance is all ok, but you can only find out whether they are good insurer or not is when you actually try to make a claim.

I checked and for the K's I would be doing per year (5000km or so) it will save me around $400 from my current AAMI insurance. Then again, like you, not sure how they will be like if I had to make a claim. Considering the K's I do, will probably give them a go.

I suspect they'll look after people initially while trying to gain market share for the new product and then slide back into the usual morass of average insurance providers.

Best bet is to compare the PDS to that of your existing policy and keep an eye on any backsliding on conditions come renewal time...

I have done a google search already, and just like the review link you posted there are no useful reviews on the company, just a bunch of people that complain they won't insure them for some reason or another.
Nothing on their claim process or how well they do when a claim is filed which is really all that matters in the end.

Oh well I signed up today with them so I guess I will pay my money and take my chances. $600 a year compared to $974 I was paying is a huge dif and after comparing their PDS to RACQ's PDS they actually look better.

I see... well, good insurer or not, just hope that no one will ever need to go through the claim process.

I insured mine for about $1050 with RAA, not the cheapest compared to at least 10 other insurers I had quoted, but I have had very good claim experience with RAA in the past. The price quoted amongst those 10+ insurers range between $850-$1400.

I don't want to limit my driving KM, I swap car with my brother's S2000 every now and then, and I let my wife drive the 8, free windscreen, $300 excess, rating 1 protection, so all these are factored in the price. So basically no limit use of the 8 and no high excess.
