I bought this used on another forum and wasn't too stoked when it arrived in the mail today.
Like the title says. What do you think it's worth? A new Koyo for an FD3S costs about 350 bucks shipped. I paid 225 shipped.

Please pardon my crappy chop skills.

Should I be complaining? He never mentioned any of the flaws I've pointed out in his ad.

broken bolts will be a pain to get out, so yeah, I would be upset

You can probably remove the styrofoam with compressed air

That's a $150 job if I've ever seen one, tbh.

I got pics, but they were conveniently the other side of the radiator, and the peanuts thing happened after it was in the box. It didn't even cross my mind that it would be full of broken bolts.

I tried some compressed air, but the radiator has some left-over fluid in it (filthy, btw), and the styrofoam sticks to the stuff. I'm thinking maybe I could flush them out with water...?

He told me to either ship it back to him on my dime, or he'd give me 25 buck back for my troubles. :icon_no2:

Thanks for the input, RX-8 guys. :) It's kinda touchy to make a thread like this on the same club the deal took place in. I don't want to start a flame war or caps-lock match...I just want to get an honest idea of how burned I got, ya know?
At first, I demanded 75 bucks back, but I told him I'd meet him halfway and take 50. We'll see what happens.

Hopefully I can get this sorted out and still make it to Mazfest.

is this the koyo radiator for the fd or for the rx8?

the one for the rx8 is worse than oem when its 100% new. i'd try to return it and get something else better. like stock.

Heh, nah, the stock FD radiator has plastic end tanks that are infamous for failing, which mine did a few weeks ago. If I had the dough for a Fluidyne or Mazdaspeed, I'd go for it, but I'm broker than a baby's toy. Man, that FD's fun ...when it's running.

The KOYO is actually a pretty nice upgrade from a stock FD radiator. :)
