should i get my front lip and sides aero painted body color or just leave the way it is now?

Get a black OEM spoiler to match it.

Get some rear flares and a Wing in Black or paint them silver if you are not going to complete the car.

i got the rear flares already, but came with body color titanuim gray, thats why i'm asking some opinion so if ever i go titanium i won't need to paint rear flares no more, but i kinda like the 2 tone. i might just get a black spoiler lip, what you guys think?

I vote paint it... all for the clean look. Also, get some mud guards to help even out the lip.

nope - my front lip is still the glossy primer. I thought it was a nice contrast when i first put it on - but then got hated on from other forum members when i did so i took it off. :suspect: - I planned on waiting til it was painted before putting it back on - but seeing as to how the majority has voted for leaving it- i might just leave it as well for the time being...:D:

The gloss has gone through both the sun and the rain and still remains glossy. I hit it with some clear coat though to keep it some-what shiny(sp).

200 paint? i think you should look for more shop thats too much just to paint a lip.... prolly 150 is coo but 200 yaiks!

ok just got back - had a nice talk with Ken over at shine -

all n' all the sides and rears are nice and glossy but I wouldn't say they match up to the BB's OEM paint. Still nice though none-the-less.

MY KIT IS IN HOUSE BABY! Probably gonna spend some time tomorrow afternoon installing it - i'll take pic's when i'm done :cool:

which is cheap for confirmed fitment... and yes, getting a perfect paint match and plenty of clear is well worth the $200.

I forgot the price for front lip - but IIRC, the entire lip kit is about $700 TOTAL - which is crazy good considering the fitment is like 9/10 - I would say 10/10 but their kits are hand made which basically means there is room for small errors.

I got to spend time with the guys in the shop that actually make it and to my surprise...those guys were MORE OCD than me! :crazy: - The guys don't even look like they see the light of day really, and seeing how many kits they were supplying, i wouldn't doubt it.

I unwrapped the sides and rears this morning and now looking at it - I think it wouldn't look too bad on a BB. It definitely won't be noticible unless you were parked and someone was actually inspecting it. iono - maybe Jedi could let me put my kit near his car to get an actual comparison.

Yes that would look great. i want to probably get a lip and find out and post pictures. I always wanted a lip haha but im deciding lip or a drop with springs haha.

Some things I've learned from seeing this thing up close and now realizing that compared to the BB's paint - it's like a 3 or a 4 outta 10 in regards to color match. The gloss definitely isn't similar. You'd have to see it from far away to make that mistake.

I plan on keeping this color combo though for a while. I'm probably gonna take it apart within a month or so and hit it with a gloss black paint and clear coat it. I think it'll end up pretty nice IMO.

rx8bb i was wondering how you installed your lip because I'm thinking of gettin this lip too. I read in one of your other threads that you used tape and screwed it in the fender ends i think? how did you screw it to the fenders??

no i didn't screw it on to fender ends... i screwed them on the fender liner if like the cover.... coz if you use the fender ends it will be too hard coz it was thin as hell... so far dont have problem with my lip installed to that... just use atleast 2 screw both sides....
