Hey i'm looking for a lil horsepower upgrade and i figure a cold air intake would do the trick! So at autozone they sell a K&N cold air intake but im not too sure about that. So before i choose to settle on that i'd like everyones advice on which cold air or short RAM intake would be best overall for the rx8:)

k&n is short ram
only true CAI would be AEM/MS
search for the intakes intakes intakes thread.

there're plenty of threads of intakes, including a compilation thread, i believe
but in short, the stock intake was pretty optimized from the factory. all the intakes give you very very very little return for the buck, and a fair # of 'em are actually worse than stock. the only ones i would personally get are the mazdaspeed or racing beat

The AEM CAI and Mazdaspeed CAI are my favorites.
The Racing Beat with their duct but that is crazy expensive for the complete setup.
We carry all of the above I actually have one left of the AEM CAI.
I have also heard of interesting things with the odula duct as well with some impressive gains.

RB duct with stock airbox(screens and VFAD removed) and a K&N filter
It all depends on what other mods you have in mind to add in the future or currently have...

How about the stock airbox mod since most intakes net 1 or2 HP if any alot are know to decrease HP

I vote for RB air duct, K&N filter, and no baffle walls.
