Sooo hey everyone! My Name is Tristan. Originally from NYC I moved to California 3 years ago.

I have been an avid sports car fan since my dad showed me his GT40 right before he began racing formula Atlantic cars.

For me import was always in my blood.

I have owned 2 Ford Probe GT's when i first started driving(not counting the moped years lol) and even then, mazda clutch http://www.moccforums.com/forums/Smileys/MOCC/tongue.gif

Then I owned a BMW 2002 325ci for 4 years and loved it into the ground. So I JUST as of FRIDAY, traded it in for an amazing RX8 R3.

My dad came out from NY to visit and helped kick me in the ass to give up a bit of my vice grip on the funds and get a new car. He owns a Porche Caymen and Carerra GT and Supra twin turbo turned single turbo with 650 HP it's kinda crazy, and yes he owned it before the movie. So it was my turn to get a more sporty car.

Anywho this is about me DAMMIT!! lol, so this is my FIRST BRAND NEW car and I love it to death.

I wanted black but, alas there were non in stock, so maybe a paint job down the line if I can find a good deal, I kinda hate being a red bullseye for cops.

Anywhoo, I have ranted enough. Look forward to meeting you all at a meet!

I was thinking, driving it... Not getting tickets.... and uhm... enjoying my new spot in the front of valet :P lol

But yeah I do have ONE specific plan, which has to do with laser jammers. But Ill go into it more when that approaches :P lol part of the "no tickets plan"

Lol nah Im talking about ones installed in your lights. We have em on the carerra. It basically transmits multiple light beams between your license plate so when a laser hits it it disperses it giving you some time to react and slow down.

ALthough i did see a car with thermal paint an dnight vision goggles that was kinda ridiculous :P

Yeah see I save money where I don't want a car that has blue lights and riced out shit anymore so I put it into engine and fun things like laser jammers lol..

And shit if I could just USE the Carerra I don't think I would have ever even have found these forums.

For right now the biggest mod will be taking off the front license plate. other than that i am going to wait for my funds to refill a little and enjoy my new toy :) lucikly the r3 has a bunch of cool shit alrweady

welcome to the forum, and read up on the basics on how rotary enthusiasts like to use for their cars... i.e. premix, 5w30 oil or X weight of oil for X season, and arguments over rather or not to run synthetics...etc.

we welcome you to the club, and encourage learning the basics and would be glad to have you at the meets =)

but until then... i've been the only VR at the 626 at the moment, so no rush to steal my spotlight huh?
