When I get in and out of my 8 I have never felt so cool and like a million bucks. Yesterday I experienced my first friendly RX 8 to RX 8 wave! Silver 8 to silver 8.....he waved and I gave the peace sign. It felt really neat. Never had a car where we waved at eachother! Every time I drive and see the fender bulge I am reminded how cool this car looks. At $30,000 it makes me feel like I am driving a much more expensive car! I enjoy it!! Can't wait till summer and I can be outside with it and pamper it a lot! Happy Holidays!

Really? Gosh, I thought that would be automatic......did you wave MikeB? maybe they were too cool or did not see you! To me it came out naturally! Anyone else? Thanks for the reply.

I've seen 3 on the roads, and none of the drivers waved to me. Then again, I didn't wave to them either. I guess we're just way too cool for our own good :cool:

I get the feeling this is going to turn into a Jeep thing where Wrangler / CJ owners all wave to each other as they pass. It's actually pretty cool considering none of the owners of other models are likely to do this. :)

I always wave. And, usually, get a return wave and smile. Sometimes, the ol' "thumbs up".

It's like were in this exclusive club or something.

Yeah I know how you feel. I was driving on base a few weeks ago and There was another silver 8 just like mine pulling up to get the ubiquitous ID card check. That was soooo cool pulling up to the line at the same instant. you should have seen the look on the gate guards faces.

There's another white 3000GT like mine at my base as well and we've done the 1-2 drive through the gate as well (single lane). It's pretty amusing.

Well, I've only passed one RX-8 and it wasn't good. The lady in the other 8 was the owner of the Mazda Dealer in my town and she gave me the most evil-look I have ever seen. the reason she did that was because she found out I purchased my car elsewhere and not at her dealer. Even though I tried there first and they couldn't give me a better deal :) it wasn't my fault

oh well she'll get over it.

There's a silver one out here where I live. I guess her son goes to the same school as my sister. I've seen her driving before and I waved, but never got a response. Then one time I was dropping off my sister and her car pulls up to the circle to drop off her son. I waved and she just ingored me till her son said something to her.
