As I was ready to go to work, I saw my left rear tire flat. I jacked it up and looked for any holes. I saw a nail head in the tire.

Does anyone know of a good place to patch tires in Mississauga? How much would the fix cost?
Would have been easier if it wasn't snowing right now so I can put my summers on...

Yea but I've read of many horror stories with cars and Canadian Tire (I'm sure they have the nickname Crappy Tire for a reason) :-P

Yeah, Canadian Tire is a nightmare, stay away.

If you are closer to the Etobicoke side of things try Kipling Tire. They are great people to deal with.

Keep one thing in mind when looking at reviews of any service place. People who have their issue resolved with no problems are very unlikely to make a post about it. Repairing a puncture isnt rocket science and it's not that difficult to watch them work and make sure it's being repaired correctly.

Which tire is it? If your summer and winter aren't the same diameter DON'T do it. It will fuk up your ecu/DCS and can cause problems if it's a rear tire.

U can do it yourself , it takes 5 min to stick a plug in it and u r good to go :)

Not being negative, just stating the obvious. Any tire shop can patch a tire, it's not like he running some exotic setup needing a specialized tire shop.

As I've said I've never had a flat and don't really know what special skills/processes are needed to patch one up...
so I can patch the tire myself? I have some duct tape :-P

Patching it yourself would be a pain because the tire has to come off and plugging it would be easy to do yourself but should only be done as a temporary fix on a performance tire. Any tire shop will find the hole, demount the tire from the rim, clean the area inside the tire over the punctured area, apply patch glue, apply the patch, allow it to dry and then remount the tire and balance it. It should take less than a half hour.

took it to active green & ross. Came out to a little under $26 after taxes.
