what ohm reading does the coil need to be considered good?

 

Having 0 ohms is abnormal.
I measured 1.6K across two terminals (center and right looking at the terminals) and 2.5M across the other side (center and left looking at the terminals).

That's a good question. Has anyone measured the impedance (electrical inductive load resistance, in ohms) of a new OEM coil?

Of course the related question is what is the maximum voltage that could/should be output-transformed for the optimal spark, assuming stock 'plugs?

We hear allot about better coils than stock, but I've not seen any empirical data in application.
