Dont know if its been mentioned, but for those running the mazdaspeed bar, is this the one you are running. Any thoughts on stiffness versus the stock bar. This is the bar im refering to

No. I seem to recall that one is off the charts for stiffness. Just buy the Hotckis MX-5 bar, near the Mazdaspeed rate, adjustable, and I think less money.

it's not new, it's the Speedsource bar and they only finally got around to posting anything about it after being available for 3 or more years

1.25" OD x 1/4" wall will never work in Stock, you'll need 1/8" or less wall thickness for that diameter

Do they sell it only as a complete bar/lever/end link type deal, or can you just buy the levers and links? The splined torsion bar is easy enough to source...

They sell the Tripoint arm/endlink setup separate from the bar for the 3rd gen RX7TT and it will work on the RX-8 with the proper length splined bar, but that kit costs over $500 + the bar cost

Is there a benefit to running a stiffer front sway bar without changing the rear? Wouldn't this promote understeer?

it depends on how stiff and also on the other adjustment settings such as alignment, air pressure, etc.

i think you can only get the front swapped for b stock. mazdaspeed one is good i hear, not too stiff, others like progress tech bars i have been told are too stiff to run with the stock endlinks safely.
