Driving along on i95 going north, following this big black SUV at 75mph.. as I pass an on-ramp, some honda whizzes past me as we round a bend and then slams on his brakes because there's 4 cop cars ahead.

I don't think much of it and keep following the SUV.. 10secs later cop car pulls up behind me and pulls me over, says they clocked me going 93mph by a trooper on the side of the road a bit behind me. I was going 75mph in 6th gear at 4k RPMs behind the black SUV also going 75mph.

I got pulled over for the other asshole. Ugh. Pisses me off. :banghead:

That does suck. I would try and take it to court. That is pretty messed up. You know that nice car you were driving put a bulls-eye on you for the cops. Hopefully you can get it drastically reduced or thrown out.

My brother got pulled over for going 8 over in a 2 door Accord, but about the time the cop was pulling in, a large SUV was going much faster, yet the cop went after the car. An argument ensued with him and the cop about how he was singling him out because of the car and that the SUV driving much faster is by far a more dangerous threat to other people on the road. needless to say, he still got the ticket.

It's bad enough getting a ticket you deserve, but it sucks getting one for someone else - and if they see it's an 8, they know it must be the one over the limit - an SUV looks like a hippo, they will never suspect it was the real speed freak!
