Gee Matt that is a gorgeous machine but don't you think it would be hard to drive the 8 after getting behind the wheel of a prancing horse!

I'll be glad to welcome home you're new Ferrari. The only problem is that I'm in Miami. Luckily I'm on vacation on Wed so you can fly me in to LA if you like. When I get there I can also do you the favor of driving it home for you and maybe even taking it to the closest road track for final quality assurance testing. Just please let me know by tonight so I can book a hotel unless I'll be staying with you.... Just kidding :D Enjoy the new ride and don't forget to post some pics when you get it.. The thing looks fast just sitting on the container :)

You can buy used or even slightly damaged cars from japan, crate a few in there and ship them over ;)

I'm thinking this is a prank thread :D

I'll consider this a prank until you provide dyno's, gtech data, bill of sale, dmv registration receipts, dna tests of lapd samples taken from you, and samples from inside the car, a lie dector test, and various other tests at my beckoning from behind this keyboard

LOL, please tell me it's real ;)

Most Ferrari's are trucked from the factory to Milan and then boxed up and flown to port for the boat ride. Only "ballers" get their cars flown from Milan to their home city. It's a lot of cash to fly it from Italy.

I am pleased it came by plane. FedEx actually.

You pay sipping of your car?
Sound weird to me..
Here in Italy if you buy a Ferrari the car is disponible by the dealer like any other car..
maybe you have buyed the car here in Italy directly?
A friend of mine (is an human resource specialist) who have worked inside both Maranello factory and Modena factory (maserati) said to me that currently there is an option for customers:
before the car is ready you can do a guided visit to the factory and see every sector of the production line.Obiuosly Reparto Corse is still off-limits

425 are CV (cavalli vapore) the data in European specification..
System to evaulate power of an engine are sligtly different from Eu to Usa..
i dont'know if is for pollution normatives..
But, yesterday at a italian specific car/motor oriented tv channel , was talking the engineer chief for the stradale project:
He was talkig about the improvement of the engine respect to the standard:
There are three areas involved:
1)ecu (wich is controlling exaust too)
2)exaust (is different and w/a by pass computer controlled)
3)intake (the box inside is completly different from standard)
he was talkig about 425 cv (against the 400 of standard model)

You've posted before about your ex-308, which was your daily driver before you traded it on your current daily driver RX-8... In another thread, you mentioned owning a 512BB before the 308, and in this thread you mentioned owning a 360 Modena... just curious, would you mind listing all the cars you've owned, maybe when and how long you owned them? It sounds like you've had some real beauties, and I know we'd all like to live vicariously through you! ;)

I had the surround sound cranked (as it should be) so loud the walls were vibrating! Thats why my daughter came a runnin!

It gave me goose bumps! It's almost an ethereal sound! One that has to be experienced in person.

I was lucky enought (if you want to call it that) to be right down on the fence at turn one/exit from the pits at Hochenhiemring for the 1991 German Grand Prix. Now that is a Ferrari!

I gotta believe any Aston designed under Ford's wing is miles ahead of Ferrari's reliability. If you doubt it I guess you will be surprised when you fork over $7,000 to replace the timing chain every 15k miles or those nice $12k clutch jobs. I wonder how I know about these? About 70% of Ferrari's sold in the USA are either leased or financed. It seems that many of these people have high incomes but they are also spending all of their money. For these people maintenance cost is a factor. Many of these people are first time exotic car buyers. I have brokered some expensive cars and have seen this scenario first hand.

Now if you know going in what the costs are and you still deem it a worthy expenditure then more power to you.

Man, if you are considering a purchase of a supercar (porsche turbo, ferrari, aston martin or else) and you consider the costs of ownership, you'll never buy.
passion of driving (and a lot of money disponible) are the springs to the purchase (at least in Europe), looking at the mainteniace cost have no sense.
An unlucky day at the track will cost to you more than two years of manteniance/gasoline/tires costs.
Insurance costs (especially for thieft) are out of any logical sense (at least here in Italy).
About the lease or financed purchase, here are done only for fiscal reasons.

Just a heads up to all you fine RX8ers, Matt (Lemus) is a total liar, fraud and has never seen a 360 CS (Challange Stradale) much yet has"picked one up at LAX". The original pictures were of a car actually delivered to Miami. Yes, Lemus has owned a Ferrari in the past. A 308. The "other" 360 Modena was for sale by a friend, but Matt couldn't pucker up at the last moment and lost the car.

You most likely are not aware of the two other Ferraris (250, 512bb) that Matt has blately lied about ownership over the internet (and lost PLENTLY of respect and close friends in the process over at the Ferrari shine).
