I might be biased, but I went for the RX-8.
Cheers,

(glance to parking spot) Yep. RX-8 for me too! RodsterinFL 01-08-2004, 10:50 PM PRIUS PRIUS PRIUS I like the golf-cart on steroids! (just kidding) newfinator 01-09-2004, 10:24 PM If it was the "new" Subaru Legacy then pehaps that would have a chance but other than that I'd probably go with the RX8. 8_wannabe 01-09-2004, 11:41 PM Ya know, I have voted for the RX-8 as the best of everything on numerous polls from magazines, websites, etc. Even voted early and often where it allowed me. But I really gotta question this. "Best Engineered Car?" My hang up is a car that floods, and gets such crappy mileage. From a personal perspective, I have made peace with myself about both these issues. I can deal with it, and it doesn't diminish the pleasure I get from my car. But can I really say, in good conscience, that it's the best engineered car? I dunno; can we have some honest debate about this? I would say from a design standpoint like weight distribution, internal space, cool looks, etc. But the two issues I mentioned make me think the '8 is an also-ran in the best-engineered category. I know this is heresy on this website, but I'm just trying to remain intellectually honest here... |
